Fabulous news! A wonderful portrait of Captain Tom from the Inner Portrait Artist Club, also unveiled.

How fabulous to see another of the Captain Tom paintings from the Inner Portrait Artist Club being unveiled, this time at Forest of Marston Vale visitor's centre. Thanks to Helen Nellis, her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for Bedfordshire in celebration of Captain Tom.

Debbie Walker is a founder member of the Inner Portrait Artist Club and community and her wonderful painting is one of several that were created through the workshop back in the Spring. I'm incredibly proud to see Debbie's painting up in Forest of Marston Vale visitor's centre, the home of Captain Tom's GP surgery and where much of his inspiration for raising funds for the NHS originated.

From the same surgery, Captain Tom's long time GP at the time, Dr Claire Alajooz, joined me back in July to unveil my painting which hangs in the foyer at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Debbie hadn't painted portraits before joining IPAC and has gone from strength to strength. Huge congratulations on this, Debbie, wonderful work!!
